I have never been impressed with any advertising campaign until I saw this brilliant piece of marketing for OMO. The Turkish Advertising company who created this OMO campaign deserves an award.
The morning weather began a bit chilly but the ATBC Board and their helpers arrived early to set up for the Annual Picnic at Greenvale Reservoir, knowing full well that the crowds would pour in.
Banners and flags were unfolded, tables were set, barbecues were lit, barbecue aroma filled the air, salad and dips were displayed; and then a continuous, long, steady stream of guests arrived to enjoy the day.
Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan, the head of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), M. Rifat Hisarciklioglu and other officials from Turkey arrived in Sydney on Friday, for G20 meetings.
Whilst in Sydney, the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) and The Australian Industry Group (Ai Group) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a bilateral Business Council.
ATBC Board Members: Muradiye Selvi, Osman Kuyruk, Ali Yildirim and ATBC Members: Kazim Ates, Necmi Kul, John Villella, accompanied by the Turkish Consul General Seyit Mehmet Apak, travelled from Melbourne to Sydney, to meet our esteemed Turkish Ministers and to be present at the signing of the MoU.
The past 10 years have treated Turkey well. The only nation in the world across two continents – Asia and Europe – has previously struggled to find its standing in the western world, however, while the rest of the world has felt the effects of the global financial crisis, Turkey has continued its steady upwards march.
ATBC members were privileged to attend an informative Economic Seminar with Tom Piotrowski, who is the Chief Market Analyst and Economist for Commsec. Our members were educated and informed about the Share Market whilst dining on a delicious 3 course meal at the RACV House.
Riza Gultekin was 10 years old when he and his family arrived in Mildura from Turkey in 1998.
A free Legal and Taxation Seminar organized by the ATBC, was held on Thursday 14th June, at Moreland Council in Coburg.
ATBC were very pleased to sponsor the Turkish Pazar Festival, which was held at the Victoria Market on the 25th March, 2012.
It was a beautiful day and lots of people attended the festival.
We were delighted to see many ATBC members and friends at the festival. Many members stopped by the ATBC stand to say hello and it was wonderful to see them.
The 2012 Premier’s Gala Dinner was held on the 17th of March, at the Crown Palladium Ballroom. The Dinner celebrated the 10th Cultural Diversity Week along with International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
ATBC President, Mr Huseyin Mustafa, is a Commissioner at the Victorian Multicultural Commission. Huseyin is a very passionate and committed Commissioner, who is always keen to promote Multiculturalism. Huseyin Mustafa, also being the General Manager at the Commonwealth Bank, happily sponsored the Gala Dinner.
